Spyke Games
Rina Onur Sirinoglu is the CEO of Spyke Games, a gaming company that raised a $55 million seed round from the top venture capital gaming firm in the world, breaking records for a female CEO in Turkey and for social mobile gaming (see Griffin Gaming Partners). And this isn’t the first time. She and her co-founding team achieved spectacular success creating some of the world’s top mobile casual games with company exits valued at nearly $2 billion.
It's also not the first time we worked with Rina. Rina and Outfront founder Nicole DeMeo collaborated on business growth at Peak Games (which sold to Zynga for $1.8B), and Nicole is very familiar with Turkey having also provided marketing and communications for decacorn Trendyol.com and Earlybird Venture Capital’s Digital East Fund.
When Rina asked us to jump in and co-create on branding, messaging, go-to-market strategies and announce Spyke’s funding, time was short. But to get ahead of the news and position Spyke strategically as a “unicorn in the making” out-of-the-gate, the story had to be right. Through research, brand strategy, positioning, messaging, and exquisite timing, we laid out the story for the media. Within 24 hours we had 84 articles (with media including Reuters, TechCrunch, Venturebeat, Forbes) aligning Spyke with gaming unicorns. We then amplified the news, hijacked other news stories, and continued the drumbeat of success through a go-to-market plan and a “rolling thunder” campaign. Did we mention that the game hadn’t even officially launched when we started? And Entrepreneur Magazine ran our success story as a business case study. Winning!
We landed an unprecedented 100+ articles for Spyke Games all focused on achieving business results. Some of the top articles include Forbes, TechCrunch and VentureBeat.
